We’d like to announce our Globalme Office Portland!
Nine years ago, Hanna and Emre had one of those ideas that would result in the birth of a company. As most startups usually begin their journey, Globalme started off as a part-time endeavor. But, after a whole lot of hard work and hustling, the company demanded the full attention of our Co-Founders and we had to pick up and move to the welcoming arms of Vancouver, BC. Since then, Globalme has grown exponentially, and continues to thrive as new members join at a rate almost too fast to keep track of! At the beginning of 2016 (a mere nine months ago), Globalme was a team of eight. Now, there are a whopping 20 full-time employees; desk space has most definitely become a hot commodity in the Globalme office, and chairs are poached from one another as soon as a back is turned. To top it all off, Business in Vancouver just announced their list of the 100 fastest growing companies in BC and we are proud to be 13th on that list.
Seven years after our move to Vancouver, we’re excited to announce the opening of a second Globalme office, back where it all started.
Yes, we’ve made our way South of the border and are back in Portland! Why, you ask? Well, one of our main clients, a major computer chip developer, is located in Oregon. By opening an office right next door, we’re able to maximize collaboration between the two project teams and minimize time wasted on travel.
Plus, our resident Portlanders, Cory (selfie-pro and Strategic Account Manager extraordinaire) and David (Super Special Secret Ninja Localization Engineer), needed a little space to call home. Or, work. ?
What do you think? Pretty snazzy, right? We’re still in the process of unpacking and setting the office up, but are very excited about the development and ever-increasing expansion of our team and hope you’re enjoying watching our journey.
